13th Air Force Patch — Jungle Air Force Heritage

The 13th Air Force fought across the Pacific as the "Jungle Air Force" during World War II.

This embroidered patch represents the 13th Air Force, known as the "Jungle Air Force" for its World War II operations across the South Pacific. The 13th Air Force conducted air operations over the Solomon Islands, New Guinea, the Philippines, and other Pacific island campaigns, providing tactical and strategic air support in some of the most challenging jungle environments in the war. The 13th's legacy extends through the Cold War and beyond, maintaining the Pacific air power presence that the Jungle Air Force established during World War II.
