Rochard Checkerboard Game Limoges Box

A checkerboard, ready for a game of kings and jumps, gives this Rochard Limoges box its shape. It is hand-painted in Limoges, France, and it brings one of the oldest board games to the curio shelf.

Your Move, Grandpa

Checkers has been played around kitchen tables, on porch steps and in firehouse break rooms for generations. The game's simple grid and clever strategy make it a favorite across every age. Rochard captures that grid in porcelain, painted by hand so that each board has its own small variations.

King Me, Then Display Me

Set it on a game room shelf beside a deck of cards, on a coffee table in the den, or in a cabinet with other game-themed pieces. It makes a fun present for the family champion who has not lost a match in years, a grandfather who taught everyone to play, or a friend who hosts a weekly game night. It also suits a retirement community friend who never misses an afternoon tournament.
