Strawberry Watering Can Porcelain Limoges Box

A garden watering can gets a sweet twist on this porcelain box, which carries a cheerful strawberry theme. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, and it calls to mind a June morning in the berry patch.

Watering the Berry Patch

Strawberries are often the first fruit a home gardener grows, and a watering can is the tool that keeps them going. Putting the two together makes a cheerful little tribute to the backyard garden.

From the Potting Bench

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a garden, strawberry or watering can collection
• Pairs with wheelbarrow, birdhouse and flower pot boxes

Sunny Spots to Set It

A sunroom shelf, a kitchen windowsill above the herbs or a potting bench in a garden room all suit it. It makes a fine thank-you for a garden club hostess, a Mother's Day present for a mom who spends weekends in the yard, or a birthday surprise for someone with a green thumb.

Strawberry season runs short, but this piece keeps the feeling of those first ripe berries around all year, especially on a shelf in a cottage style kitchen.
